Our Practice

North Shore Psychology and Behavioral Medicine Associates (NSPBM) is a private group practice made up of highly experienced clinicians who provide personal, individualized therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

Founded in 1984 by Dr. Paul Greenfield, who was at the time a psychologist on staff at Winthrop hospital, the practice was expanded in 1989 to help fill a gap in mental health services in the North Shore area. Since then, the practice has grown to include nine mental health professionals.

Even with growth, our practice remains rooted in its original values: personal, compassionate care tailored to our clients’ unique needs. NSPBM is not a clinic; we are a group of multidisciplinary specialists who treat clients with a wide range of mental health needs including, but not limited to: anxiety, depression, ADHD, adolescent behavioral issues, grief, life transitions, parenting, and divorce/remarriage. We screen every new client in order to provide a good “fit” between client and therapist. Our therapists also collaborate closely with primary care or specialty physicians, other mental health clinicians, and area hospitals in order to ensure continuity of care.

NSPBM accepts most major health insurance plans; please contact us to find out if we accept your insurance.
